Iconic Album Covers

I used to work at a music store when I was a teenager.  It was a mind-numbing job;  I rang up customers and stocked the cds.   I am not a music connoisseur, so if you ask me questions about today's music I'll just stare at you blankly.  But back in the early 2000's I had tons of miscellaneous info.  Today, I can probably still help you locate Lloyd Banks or Yanni in the racks.  But overall, my favorite part the job was gawking over at all of the dope album covers.  So it makes sense that 20 years later, I find myself once more fan girling over album covers.

 

Iconic Album Covers is a series of infamous music album covers that I reinterpreted in my loose style.  Each painting is done in gouache on  5x7 inch paper.  It's a literal series and sometimes I enjoy doing fun art that doesn't have a deeper meaning other than feeling nostalgic.
